The Dundee Hills Food Forest

We're two boys with a big dream just beginning to lay down our roots in the heart of Oregon wine country.

The Dundee Hills Food Forest was born out of a passion for growing (and eating) healthy food combined with a vision for helping make a small contribution to the common good. Our main purpose is to apply science in the areas of soil, plants, animals and ecosystems building up a small family farm that uses nature to create a "closed loop", or self-sustaining cycle of nutrients, pest control and weed management. In order to achieve this goal we will initially be focusing on the following important and interconnecting areas: increasing soil fertility, tilth and structure in addition to increasing plant, insect, fungal, bacterial, reptilian and bird habitat and diversity. The overall goal is to create a self-sustaining, food producing ecosystem that feeds us, our families and our local area.
